A few weeks ago a buggy that Tom and I had built for a customer a little over a year ago became available. The owner spared no expense when it came to building this car. It started with a buggy he bought on eBay and drove it TJ kustoms to be worked on. He wanted the redo the whole car, then it happened! "The might as wells" started in with the engine, transmission, brakes, chassis, and the list goes on and on. Yes the owner is a nice guy but not a VW guy which you need to be to really appreciate this car. A few weeks ago the car was at Toms shop and he mentioned to me it was for sale and my wheels started turning in my head, not having that type of cash in my hands I had to make some calls. Now with everything in place I was able to make and offer and he accepted, wow here we go! I'm getting one hell of a sweet ride that I had a good part in putting together with a good friend. This buggy is now in the hands of some how will bring it where in needs to be..........out and about for all to see!!
What did I pay? Enough, however I saved thousands on the big picture! Yes I did barrow against my own 401k which I have to pay back myself with interest (that's good) The guys that are out there with cars that are on the "next level" will tell you if they sell it, they will not get it back.
What are my plans for it? Some small tweaking for my liking. I would like to do the front seats over. The last owner was a very short guy and you sit real high in it and Tom and I were against them but he wanted them. and the shifter, I like button press for reverse.

Awesome looking buggy! Lucky you! I saw one of these pics recently ... maybe in a thread on DBA ? Love the sparkle - is that the original gelcoat or a redo or paint? _________________ _/----\_

Very nice car. You are going to love that shifter. With a fresh transmission and shift rod bushings my car with the same piece shifts like an Indy car.
All times are Mountain Standard Time/Pacific Daylight Savings Time
