I got this message for a few minutes a little bit ago:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /home/thesamba/public_html/vw/forum/db/mysql4.php on line 48
TheSamba.com : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database

Yes, there was some temporary overload of the server.
Not sure why but I am checking into it.

I too got it 3 times earlier. I exited and re-entered fine.

At about 14:37 local San Diego time I got the following error for a couple of minutes:

I had it most of late morning, early afternoon and earlier this evening. In different geographical locations with different connections. Said it was too busy but all critical errors.
Just got it again.

Yes, there were some connections and image loading speed issues for a while around the time r39o mentioned above.

Every day or yesterday?
The only time it occurred that I am aware of and that it can clearly be seen in the logs was around the time r39o posted.
Unfortunately this was for about an hour.
I was on the site almost all day yesterday and that was the only time I saw it or had issues.
If you saw it over and over after that time, your internet was probably showing you a cached page.

4 different times from mid morning until once last evening. 3 of 4 at a business location and last one at home last night. I tried several times and then would get busy doing something else and sorry I clear my history and cache's several times per day.  Besides my puter literacy level may not allow me to check into it. I've had it before and now I know it is during heavy traffic times. I'll not worry about it anymore. Just as long as it wasn't my equipment
