|
|
Hi there. I don't know if it's a copyright thing, but I've been looking for vector art for a classic VW logo suitable for a stencil. The only ones that I have found are the modern blue/white and a logo with really thick lines.
What I want to do is cut out a stencil of the logo and use that to apply a white logo to a piece of black vinyl I have. This will go on a square of masonite that I'm going to use to cover the unsightly metal plate, rivets and headliner edges where I removed the skylight from my bay.
If you are wondering I removed it because the whole assembly is broken and it needs to be replaced. In the meantime i just want to make it look not totally horrible.
I don't really have a photo but you can see part of it up top in this one.

Thanks. It needs a bit of work but it has served me well. It's a 3 axis one with a few nice features. I mostly used it for repairing my 1980's and early 1990's electronics and hardware development.
As you can see my bay is a work in progress. It always has been. I've had it since '99 I think. When I got it the seatbelt retractors didn't lock, it has a half dead auto transmission, half a turn of free play in the steering etc. and was an empty shell except for the R'n'R bed.
The interior was a recent addition. I haven't mounted it yet. I can't do the final fit until I make a camper floor. It needs to sit on that. For now there' a chunk of wood under the cabinet near that table holding it level and a bit of pine up front keeping the bench level.
The cabinet came from someone's bay who was upgrading. As luck would have it, it fit mine.
In the time I've had it it's covered a lot of distance, been dragged around from house to house, state to state, had lots of work, many pitfalls, some triumphs and a lot of sitting waiting. Now I'm just aiming to get it registered again after a 7-ish year hiatus.
Unfortunately where i live now I can't get it an unregistered vehicle permit until it has passed inspection. When I was over the border I'd get a permit occasionally and drive it around near where I lived (or try to depending on what needed to be done) to keep everything moving and because I like driving it. _________________ Vehicle: 1975 Special order delivery walkthrough panel based pop-top camper (LCA / Sunliner). I did. but didn't get that site. Thanks for that. I grabbed the mono one. Unfortunately they don't quite have the one I'm after. I'm after a larger one. I mean, one intended for larger applications with thinner solid sections. The ones on there are I guess what you could call the "bold" ones for smaller badges.
The sort I'm after is I guess similar in proportion to a type 2 large badge as I was planning on making it fill a page of A4 or so in size. _________________ Vehicle: 1975 Special order delivery walkthrough panel based pop-top camper (LCA / Sunliner).
