Hey Chad, isn't that the washer we couldn't find?

Is that bottom bj upside down?
Did you all make volksfest? I am heading out of town this afternoon for a week of training and had too much to get done.

Both bjs on a Thing press up from the bottom. That's what makes the bottom arm Thing only, and so expensive.

Chad went yesterday. I didn't make it. He said the swaps were decent.

I figured out why Shannon's car wants to shake me to death. The eccentric nut on the passenger side was dangerously worn. I shot Mike at Thingparts.com a pm. He answered me immediately. It'll be here weds. Other vendors could take a tip from him.

Chad, I found that washer. It was in the trash. I must've thrown it away on accident.

Was that the one with the big groove in the bottom? Glad you found the washer. Did you get the arm too? Steve, the swaps were pretty good. Not quite what it was last year. Had a nice turbo setup for John A, complete with the 4 barrel carb.

Anyone who has to do ball joints in the future:

http://www.amazon.com/Alltrade-648617-Master-U-Joint-Service/dp/B0028QGT86

I borrowed that kit from Advance... It's $160 but they return it when you're done... It had almost exactly the sockets needed to do the ball joints in Shannon's car.

I used that same kit to press out/in new BJ's on my 1-Ton Dodge dually. If you do regular mechanic work, it is worth it's weight to purchase the set.

Hey everyone, DK called me from the VW cruisers. She's looking for a dune buggy roll bar. Anyone have one they want to sell?

Not nice. Did you notice one dude said just get a new engine, and yet his signature line promotes the inherent worth on numbers matching VW's?

Well, you have the original engine. That doesn't mean you have to leave it in the car and use it.

So the plan is to go to Cone Zone on Friday night at 6pm and then go to dinner after. Since John & Deb are the "visitors" Very Happy , they can choose where to eat....although my hope is Mexican & margaritas Laughing ! Hope too see everyone at Cone Zone for a fun visit. The plans for Saturday's departure can be discussed at that time.
