I am finally finishing the body work on my doka and am getting ready to paint. I am now in search of Timor Beige (LH8T) paint. Anyone have suggestions for a source/brand of paint that matches factory fairly well?
Thanks for any info. |

go to a local, good autobody supply store and ask them for the paint. the paint will be specific for your area. in California urban areas you cant buy the same paint as you can in rural areas, and in california there is many paints you cant get, but can get in other states.
once you find out what is locally legal (hence check with a local supply store) figure what brand you want (choice will be determined by cost, there is a huge range in paint costs for materials) and ease of application with the equipment you have. (many new water borne paints must be sprayed with specialized equipment) SOme newer paints also have very limited shelf life, dont buy a year ahead of time!
so find out locally what you can get Let your fingers do the walking (call around), pick a price range, and pick a type you can spray (advice from aupply stores can be very helpful here) then come up with a couple brands that you know will work, and then ask about the pros\cons of each.
there are too many variables to give a simple answer, depends where you spray , equipment, and price sensitivity.
also the top coat MUST be compatible with the under coats! this is very important. your supply house should be able to help you on that too. |

Local if youve got it for sure, but I live 100 miles from a good source so I used these guys for some touch up and it was a great match for me.
