Working on restoring my first VW Westy 1973. Putting on the seals for the pop top. Is there any thing special to do when putting on the seals for the roof rack. I have 6 extra inches of seal and before i cut it off i want to make sure i have it on properly.

Thanks,

Not that I remember. I didn't use glue and mine's still on fine 6 years later.

Push & compress the trim (or seal if you bought that) onto the luggage rack and leave some extra length so later after those material shrinks up, you're won't be short.

Leave it a smidge long for shrinkage. You will get shrinkage with age. Ask Tram Twisted Evil
