| Wow. With that color and the color of the seats, that buggy will be visible from space. It will make it easy to track you on your next trip! |

It's like Christmas here today...
Finaly got to take a peak at the motor and the parts John sent in the box.
This week we received:
- Rear lights (Thanks Joe)
- Front lights
- Carpet (Thanks Tom)
- Motor
- Carburators
- Sand seal pulley
- New blank disc brakes
I'll get more pictures tomorrow. It's like 30°F and we even had snow flakes today.

Vincent,
Running same air cleaner tops. The Passenger side on mine did bump on the inside of the body. Had to be clearanced on the rear edge. You should be able to remove and install the tops with engine in the car. Pain in the butt, but ( no pun ) it can be done. If was some cheaply made clone body, you probably would not have any troubles with the air cleaners. The Meyers Manx body is built with quality material and thick. Just the same as back in the 60's. A friend was over, told Bruce he had heard that the new bodies were thinner than the older ones. Bruce pushed up and sat on the front driver's fender of my SS. Looked at my friend and asked, who told you that ? LOL
Anyway, I am running that 2332 Dyno Soar engine. May have taller intake runners ( doesn't look like it ) and that may be the issue. Maybe shorter runners ? Just a heads up, when you lift your engine in place, watch the passenger side.
I may have misread or completely missed it, where did you get the carpet ?

Man, is that shiny! You really are clipping along on the build. When will you be getting the body?

Thanks for the kind words. I don't wan to jinx it but if everything lines up, it should ship on May 4th and take about 10 days to cross the country.
As it stands, we will probably be picking up the the body at the border just before heading down to Carlisle.
Fingers crossed. |

I don't want to be your jinx. But mine took FOREVER to get to PA. Stewart Transport picked it up from Meyers before Christmas time, and it was delivered the end of January, but I expected it the first week of January. I'll tell you the story when I see you at Carlisle.
I would use Stewart again, but would know what to expect. End delivery went very smooth, but it was a long way to get there. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you also. |

That's just was what we fear... The real problem is that we have to coordinate the pickup at the USA-Can border and IF they are late (longer than the expected 10 days), it may run into our Carlisle week-end timeframe. Stewart already knows this and as long as they can work around that week-end (ie berofe or after) We'll be fine.
The driver is suposed to contact me by Friday. |

- Front wheel spacers <- At the machne shop
- Rear wheel adaptors <- Ordered

I hope Stewart sticks to their plan with you. You should be fine. The whole border thing throws another wrinkle in it for you, but I'm sure this isn't the first time you've had to deal with it, correct?
Have you picked up a windshield wiper assembly yet? I'm having trouble finding a new one online. CIP has been out of stock for at least a month, maybe longer.
You're almost at the finish line.

To be honest, I've never had to pick stuff at the border but I have brought goods over that I purchassed south of the border and this should be no different.
Funny you should mention the wiper assembly, I also contacted CIP1 about it on the facebook page and if I recall correctly, they mentioned about a month out... I got lucky (I hope), the donor had a unit. It's worn out but CIP1 had the pins. France polished the whole unit and POR15ed it (she loves that stuff and wants to use it everywhere!). I also located a 2nd motor in my pile of junk parts. All I'll need is the blades but we'll wait 'till we get the body. |

| That Sync Link is Sic!! I'm so going to do that when the time comes. I've been using Hexbar forever and it's always been a compromise - regardless of the manufacture... |

I just found the problem with my picture size... Thanks Tom (TJ-Kustoms). Someone must have changed my compression setting without me knowing...
Sorry folks for the load time. I'm going back to all my pictures and re-compressing them. |
