| OMG, my local supplier of POR 15 wants 69.72 for a quart. Ebay has tons of it for 39.99 including shipping. I'd like to spend my money locally and just pick it up, but that is obsurd!!!! FYI |

A quart will do. May as well get two, cause you're gonna need it for the rest of the stuff you decide to paint later. It's good stuff!! _________________ Make sure you disconnect the battery charger before starting to weld. |

Depending on what color you do, maybe get the six pack mixed kit with 2 colors (Gray first coat and black second coat ) so you can see where first coat and second start and end. Just my 2 cents and if I was goin to do it again I would go this route. _________________ Matt

Just make sure you dont use paint stripper on the pan. If you do the chemical will make paint peel off like crazy. _________________ 74 Super Beetle SOLD

| I'm about to spot treat portions of the cargo floor and back deck of a bus that I did strip using aircraft remover. I have the POR-15 starter kit which includes "Marine Clean" and "Metal Ready." The directions also say to rinse well with water and make sure the area is bone dry before painting. I'll use those to prep and let yous guys know if there are any adhesion problems. |

That came out really nice DieSchnelleKafer.
I just cleaned out all the rust off of my pan where it needed it, near the battery with a wire wheel. Do you recommend me using Por15 on mine or just painting it black?
