Here is some as a roller:

Just need some real tires and a boat load of parts. I have spent $3000 in parts in the last 2 weeks and I am not done. I figure another 2k in parts if I am lucky. It is the small stuff that hurts. It dosen't help that I went all out on a 2110 stroker.

I plan on running a 165/80/15. When I bought the car the guy had put Temp spare tires on the stock wheels.

I have a few updates.

I recieved most of my engine parts from Scat. This included a 2110 stroker kit with forged crank. I had Scat balance everything, including the lightened flywheel and pressure plate. I have a set of Steve Tims stage 2 heads on the way:

I also got a welded fan and complete tin set from Scat. I painted the bare tins with VHT high temp wrinkle paint:

I also drilled the tapped the block for full flow. I decied to paint the block. I know lots of people frown on this but I have done a bunch of reading on this. I went with a satin black but it looks shiney in the pics:

I also insulated the car. I have carpet and a new headliner on the way:

I will finish up the interior in the next week. I am still missing pieces but that will take time. I will then start on the engine build.

Looking good! What product did you use to insulate the inside? Was it easy to work with? Any idea on how many square feet are needed for the inside (assuming roof, luggage area, floors, kick panels, even doors and quarter panels are done)?? Thanks

I bought the stuff from Lowes. It is a heavy mylar insulation with air bubbles in it. I used 2 rolls that were 15" x 25', they cost about $15 a roll. I used 3m spray adhesive and a razor blade. It is real easy to install. I was going to go with dynamat but to do the whole car would be a fortune. I also did the doors and the area under the rear door panels.

I finally got my headliner and carpet. I was able to get the carpet in today. I also put all the seats in. I will have to pull the rear seat to do the headliner but wanted to see how it looks.

I also have the Clarion head unit installed. It is new and I already had it on the shelf. I was able to make it fit the console.

Another update. I finally have the headliner in. I hate how it turned out. I got the 1 piece and I regret it. It could have done way better with the standard one. I have decided once I get the engine in I will make my own headliner. Until then I will keep putting the car together. I tinted the rear glass and have installed them. I need to get new vent windows to complete the doors. I also washed the car. I think I will polish it one more time once all the glass is in.

I am waiting on a few more parts to start on the engine build. I recieved my Steve Tims stage 2 heads and they look great. So soon the engine build will start. I am also getting tired on looking at it with the stupid donut tires on it. I have to get a set of real tires.

Another small update. I rebuilt the stock wiper assembly. I had to go through the motor. I also rebuilt the stock horn and was able to get it working again. I picked up a leather Grant steering wheel off Ebay. So no mor vice grips. I have a new turn signal switch coming. I also rebuilt the fuel gauge and made a new cable for it.

Here in the wiper assembly painted with wrinkle paint and installed:

I also picked up a set of Steve Tims stage 2 heads. They have 1500 miles on them and need some clean-up:

I am waiting on $60 worth of parts to get started on the motor. I can't wait to get going on it.

Thanks man. I have made baby steps on the bug. I have been screwed around by 3 vendors on the crank gears I need to start on my motor. I did get the doors together. I found a clean used fuel tank and painted it up. I also finished up the interior. My windshield is on the way.

I love that wrinkle paint. Your tins look awesome!

I just did a bunch of wrinkle paint myself today for my '69.

I love it to. The gas tank had lots of dings and with the wrinkle paint it is hard to notice them.
