This car was originally my fathers project, and now for the time being it is my project car to work on. Goals for the car long term are to refinish the chassis and replace/rebuild the suspension front and rear, refinish the engine bay and the front trunk area, redo all of the wiring in the car, possibly redo the interior, and maybe throw a 5 speed with a bigger engine in it. For now, I'm just enjoying the heck out of it and driving it whenever I have time!

Das skiver: thanks! It's an amazing car to drive and I wouldn't trade it for anything
John: oh don't worry, I treat my cars like I treat my women, no one touches them but me _________________ 1956 Karmann Ghia |

hasnt run for 15 ish years, ive been slowly bringing it back to life. picture here doesnt have the turn signal correctly installed which i did put in not to long ago...all it needs is a battery and a fresh gas tank...cosmetic things would include correct headlight trim and glass turn signal...love this car |

Im 22 and would have never thought i would get a 1957 Ghia, but sadly the front end was replaced sometime in its life, very professionally done though. been sitting in a barn for 35-40 years, started right up..but went ahead and cleaned the fuel lines(replaced) along with a rebuild of the fuel pump, etc. has orig cordory seats under the black covers, with all panels with rare grab handle on drivers side. Car has the orig split case tranny with the 36 hp engine. everything works down to the clock and horn. oh and the rear carpet is still intact. thought ill share.

After a year of doing finish work, on a Ghia that had been shuttled between garages for the previous 15 years by previous owners, she is finally good enough to get out in public. Here she is with her name-sake, the Virginia Redbud:

quick question... I'm rolling stock solids on my '65, they were painted to match the body. I see most are painted white. Is white the OEM color for solid wheels? _________________ '65 Karmann Ghia 'vert
