we'll need a bit more info, since a '66 square would have had carburetors and a manual pump...

perhaps a pic or two?

All i can say is that it has an electric pump. It was converted to 12v and that it does have dual dellorto carburetors. I know the brand of the pump.. http://vwparts.aircooled.net/Facet-Electric-Fuel-Pump-3psi-p/1008.htm

Sorry, i dont know too much about it.

Right. The ground should attach to the body, and the best place for your + would be off of the key switched portion on the bottom of fuses 9-10 (where they're bridged at the rear bottom of the fuse box). Be sure to put an inline 16 amp (red) fuse to your electric pump.

Last two fuses on the right- Wipers, stop lights, turn signals, warning lights, gauges- the key- activated stuff.

You should also add an impact switch to turn the pump off in case of an accident (and you can't turn off the key). Ford makes a nice one that can be found in a bunch of their cars (usually in the left rear corner section of the trunk), or get a new 1 from the dealer for around 10 bucks.
