Hi, I am Pete and I drive my '59 Kombi from South Texas to New York. You can real about my travels in my main thread ... See my signature.
I just crossed from Texas to Oklahoma couple hours ago. I am on hwy 69.
Let me know if you're somewhere close and want to meet up with me.
Thanks
----
Post updated. I already left Tulsa. On my way to Kansas City to pick up my gf.
---
Update: Now in St. Louis. Picked up my GF in Kansas.
Update: left st Louis this noon and driving thru southern parts of Illinois and then southern Indiana probably to Louisville KY.
Update: we are in Hoosier national forest in Indiana. We are headed towards louisville. Any air cooled people around here?
---
Update: louisville was pretty boring. We are going to camp at Buses and Boats camp out for 2 nights in Morrow, OH. And then maybe come back for a day to Cincinnati ( not 100% sure). If you're from the area let me know. I am also looking for a starter.
Any one on this road who wants to meet us?
---
Update:
So we went to Bus'n'Boats campout and it was awesome! We are now in Columbus, OH. We are headed to New York City. The route is not set yet but we will probably go along I-70. Anyone on this route?
--- update 5/23
We are in Keystone State Park. We are headed east towards New York City. Anyone wants to meet us for beer/food along the way?
--- update 5/24
We are close to Philly. Someone in Philly who wants to get a beer? _________________ Hi! My name is Petr and I wanna be your friend!

You should retitle your wanna get a beer texas post and update it as you travel the states. Good travels. _________________

I can't rename the original topic anymore. There is a limit for that. But I guess I can start new one and keep renaming it. _________________ Hi! My name is Petr and I wanna be your friend!

I met in Tulsa with Jared (slammedcamper57), his gf and his friends.
Super cool people! Will post more later on my main thread.
Now I am half way to Kansas City.
My gf is flying in from New York. She never rode in VW it's gonna be quite experience for her. Haha
Shoot me a message if you wanna meet me over a beer in Kansas City and surroundings!! _________________ Hi! My name is Petr and I wanna be your friend!

| In Kansas City, go to the crossroads in the westport area. Westport road and Pennsylvania ave. Kelly's, or Darkhorse Tavern, there are about 20 bars to choose from in that area, and all will have local live music. It's one of the coolest neighborhoods I've ever been in. Have fun! |

Glad to hear it. He's a good guy.
He's rolling a generic seat bottom of some sort in his bus. I drove it a little, and can't imagine going any distance sitting on it.
If anyone up there could improve on that for him, I'm sure he'd appreciate it.
I think it's cool as he travels, he bus improves more and more as contributions are made. _________________

Hello. I don't think so. Canton seems to be too much north of our route.
