hey everyone.. i have a little problem that i've been trying to combat for a while.. my trunk liner (the one that hides all the wires and speedo etc)keeps falling down and was wondering how to keep it holding up. it's got two original bolts on the bottom, but it does not stay wedged up on the top. i tried taping it to the drain box/air vent but after a while it doesn't stick. i know when it's fallen down cause i can feel the cold winter breeze on my hands coming through the speaker grill...
anyone else had this problem? any ideas? |

Velcro strips with adhesive backing. The adhesive is a lot stronger, (3M brand), than tape. Just clean the surface before you apply it. It has worked well for me over the years.

If you use velcro, don't use cheap stuff, get name brand stuff with strong adhesive.
And be careful - when my trunks fell down I ended up with little Cussers....

first its, how to Remove your Shorts.?
now its my trunks fell down. cusser nails it.
mine the top sandwitches to the top in beween to places. there.
and cant fall down. look carefull on leaf and right and see that,
can send photo if need be.
there are 4 point of mount on mine.

on mine , on the top rim. there are 2 square tabs
one on the left and one on the right
the plastic panel (keeps underwear out the wiring  )
the panel fits on the front of those 2 upper tabs ,not behind
and up and behind the leading edge of the front cowl (frunk seal below metal)
Its not obvious......
then the 2 nuts below hold the below.
now the panel is locked and can not move.
is your panel broken at the top?

| On the front of the fresh air box there is a small lip that goes over the edge of the wire cover. This helps to keep it from flopping down due to air movement. |

nah it's not broken. i've got the two bolts on the bottom and i know about the tabs on the front cowl, and no matter how many times i tuck it under it falls over more than the greek economy. i'm thinkin i'm going to go with the velcro. choice. |
