The Wolfsburg plant is just 2 1/2 miles west of Berlin. It has the biggest VW sponsored museum. Heck if you go there, might as well go to Westy also. _________________ 1952 Crotch Cooler Deluxe (US specs delivered to Stuttgart, Germany GI.)

The wolfsburg plant is more something like 130 miles away from Berlin.
But still worth the trip to check out the vw museum and the "time house".
I have no idea about Leipzig. In Berlin you could check out the museum for traffic and technics.

A museum for general technical history and traffic history, including cars, trains, planes etc.
Tons of stuff to see. Actually vw related just one split there as far as I read. Years ago I saw a Rometsch 4-door taxi there but I think itīs not there any more.
A cool place for anyone interested in technics. _________________ Master of my domain! |

Went to Wolfsburg last year on the train and will check out the transportation museum today. Got to Berlin yesterday and am still a bit jet lagged. One of these trips I really want to go to HO and visit the collection there. _________________ 1958 custom camper

And if u want some nice food, visit the rastaurant: "Zur Letzen Instanz", Berlin s oldets existing resyaurant, close to TV tower, and of course, do visit the VW dealer at main street Unter den Linden,
Automobil Forum Unter den Linden
In case u want to see some new cars too, like Bugatti Veyron and others... Gute Fahrt! Viel Spass..... |
