How is the little buggy coming along ? did you make a mold of it yet ?

It is in process. The bodywork is done, we just have to finish the mold. I hope to have one out of the mold & with us at Carlisle. If you're there, come by and see it.

The first faux engine came out of the mold this weekend. We should have a few of those, too.

We've been busy concentrating on building another complete dune buggy golf cart which has slowed our progress on the smaller (kiddie ride) body. Stay tuned!

Boomerang, if you can make a mold of the body, you should also be able to make a mold of that replica engine. Get busy. LOL By the way, a really slick build you have going here. Keep up the great work. Best of luck with future sales as well.

The cart just keeps getting better. I don't golf. I don't have any room to keep a cart, but it sure is tempting.

I think very few of these will really be used for golf, though they could be. Many use golf carts around campgrounds, vacation property, etc. Some resort & retirement communities use them too. In many states, you can make them street legal (with turn signals, wipers, etc) & drive them on roads where speed limits don't exceed 35 or so. If you don't have room in the garage, consider a UTV cover! Wink

Boomerang,

That buggy is going to be a BIG hit for running errands or going back and forth between the camping and show areas! You're likely to have a line of people wanting a ride to go somewhere around the show! LOTS of walkinig otherwise.

I'm guessing if you brought 1/2 dozen bodies to sell they'd all be gone by the first day. Especially once people see the finished product!

Thanks, GS Guy. If you're only half right I'll be more than pleased.

I'm thinking I need a better belt and maybe a coil. Maybe I'll add some exhaust pipes. I cheated a bit on the spark plug locations, too.

Thanks! I prefer the larger lights as well. My wife felt they were too big so her buggy has the smaller ones.

Here's a rear view

Better take a tip from the Meyers family and start badging and numbering them in a way to serve future generations of adults trying to validate an "original" & "authentic" "Golf Cart Manix" Laughing Hopefully they will only be "rare" for a little while. Cool (hope you sell a lot of them)

These really do look great and as you can see, the personal preferences of the owner determine the outcome, just like the larger scale buggies.

I like the opportunity to have the carnival ride mock up engine available for folks that might want to go that way. I would probably steer away from the more accurate parts used in conjunction with that mold. IMHO it detracts from the carnival ride aspect with too much realism and further points out the deficiencies of the engine mold, keep it more carnival. A more accruate scale engine mold with a pair of dual chrome cannons shooting out the back would not be too hard for the talent shown in the rest of the build and would appeal more to the crew in this forum I would think. Looks good plain too.

Nice work, hope you have a lot of success, the quality seems to be there and the market is growing I think ( more and more old coots with money everyday Rolling Eyes ) Good luck

Here's the soft folding top installed. It can be installed as it is here or slightly higher, or even dropped down right to the top of the windshield frame and still have plenty of head room. Unclip the tethers and fold it back, or remove two thumb screws to completely remove it. To keep it neat, stow it in the zippered boot.
