short answer yes. correct me if I'm wrong but you have to cut the old front frame head off and weld in the standard beetle front frame head basically

The obvious answer is: Anything CAN be done, but this would be a pretty serious project.

It ain't a bolt-on swap, by any means. The smart money would be buy a standard, if you want to run a beam front end.

If you can weld? then its no bid deal on A Baja.. you just need to swap pan head, you can cut one off A donor car, or you can git A new replacement pan head... Just make sure you git the new one on strata and true..
If you wanted to do this on A full body car then you would be looking at making A whole new custom trunk..

I might be wrong, but I am fairly certain there is a bolt on kit available to do this .Of course, the trunk mods will not be bolt on .

Yes, there is a bolt in conversion, Hot VW's ran an article on it. Didn't look too hard. I'll see if I can find it. Maybe somebody else has it available.
