Jeff, I have no idea what that is but the first thought through my head was a bit of nose restyling. I was thinking perhaps a rework based on the stylized '40 Ford styling of the old Wunderbug hood kit.

My wife just walked by... you don't want to hear what she just said about it. Sad

Any ideas? It's definitely not a Deserter S1.
I bought it 6 years ago and just started working on it seriously for the last year. I had to redo the untire pan, building a 2x1 frame around the perimeter. I just built the roll bar. It's not perfect, but I like it.

Can anyone narrow down what this one is?

I looked through the whole DBA list and narrowed it down but I'm sure I'm paying attention to details that don't matter and ignoring those that do. Smile

I thought it could potentially be one of the following:

Beettle

Bird

Irwin Manx

Kellison Sandpiper Roadster

Nostalgia

It happens to be listed for sale in the Phx. CL ads currently.

Try this site. It does look a little like the ocelot ss or Kyote or even a Kellison sandpiper

I picked this up around the Springfield Missouri area for 200 dollars a couple of weeks ago. Can anyone help identify this buggy? Looked over the Database and nothing matches the nose on this thing which I believe to be the tell tale feature.

Any help would be appreciated.

The guy I bought it off of said he had to buy the whole barn full of "junk" to get what he wanted for his motorcycle. Two Hundred to get started on a buggy sounded like a deal to me.

A good friend and I both have buggy fever he bought this unidentified buggy for 400 with chassis.
We have both poured over the database trying to find similar bodies. There always seems to be a difference, no battery box, different dash, spare tire... on and on.

Any help on identifying this one would be appreciated.

The I.D. tag is a Florida issued body tag it was last registered in Florida in 2004.
