Man... This sucks! I have a "family" trip planed to Oklahoma right as the Classic is happening. There was a death in the family. I'm gonna miss the whole damned thing. You fuckers BETTER keep me posted in this thread as to the happenings going on with Snorky. If not, I promise I'll haunt you ALL... I'm serious. Just wait and see.

You'll hear chains, moaning, and the sound of a bug that needs it's valves adjusted real bad... fuckers! Very Happy

OK...I think we are going with "Plan B". Im buying a truck that is back on that side of the world and Big Al is going to go get it, hitch up Snorkelstang and do the road trip himself all the way to California Applause Applause . Im gonna pop for the fuel and I will fill Big Al full of beer and real food when he arrives. Wink

We will have little time for "restoration" as he is probably going to arrive just a day or so before the show, so I am working hard on getting a lot of stuff pre-built for installation when it comes. Im thinking we can have a build party at my place...whoever wants to come lend a hand for a day of Nascar style fix-em up and that sort of thing, you will be welcome with open arms and be put straight to work!

Here is what we need some help with. A trailer is #1 on the list right now. Need to find a trailer somewhere between Florida and Alabama, maybe Atlanta, somewhere around there that we can buy cheap or borrow or whatever.

Next that we are after are some seats, a windshield, and some funky Ford 4 lug wheels so we can get those skinny ugly wheels off the back and dress Snorkelstang with the proper disco shoes!

Anyone help here? Anyone want to join up for a caravan out with the Almighty on the way to the show? We are gonna MAKE this happen (and share it all here too!)

Lets roll!

So Plan "B"ig Al is in full effect. Looks like the route is going to be Hwy 72 to Memphis and I-40 for the long haul!

It's going to take a ton of Snorkeltang to make the journey.

I'll do the best I can to document along the way and hope to meet the Snorkelstang faithful along this epic journey!!

I checked on UHaul.com and it is over $600 to rent a trailer in Alabama and drop it off in Cali!

You might want to call them because it is defaulting to up to 8 days use. You can probably get a better price if you call and tell them you need it for 3 days.
