This is the only picture I took this weekend.
By the way Chris, we may be pretty evenly matched out of the hole(only because your bus is geared like a tractor)but we both know what happens on the hills. And Keith, that sounds good, a glass of warm milk will be nice before I crawl into my warm bus for the night. You can keep the mittens and ear muffs though, you'll need them more than I will.

| Hope the show went well. Sorry I wasn't able to make it. Stacy bought tickets to Saturday nights Reds game in Cincinnati way back in early Feb. I had to ask months ago to get friday off and we decided to make a weekend of it by taking Lilly to the Cincinnati Zoo and her first Reds game. You guys know I wouldn't normally miss out on anything, I've been to every gathering so far. I look forward to seeing everyone next month in Parkersburg. |

What a fun weekend! The campout was fun with the spicey possum and cool Spring evening.
Ray brought the former club's tent and we tried out our hand at setting it up and displaying the club banner.
The camp out later Friday evening was a blast! Keith fixed some road kill possum that had a spicey taste that cleared out any pollen induced allergy. Dumped the fix'en out on the picknick table for all to pick what they wanted. Campfire until midnight roasting marshmallows and sometimes our knees.
On Saturday, the show was fun. Grilling out, shooting the breeze, answering questions, and just enjoying the company.
Lynn's Double White customized Ground Pounding Convertable caught Frances' eye and he got her pick.
Junior liked Homer's yellow bus because it had so much original interior and was so close to stock. So Homer got Juniors' pick.
After much politicking and passing out peace necklaces, Homer also picked up the Spectator's Choice Trophey. Homer's easy going nature and welcoming personality always help make the Hippie Bus a fan favorite.
Well, 2012 Rivers Edge Campground campout and show is in the books and plans are being made for 2013. Frances and Junior invited us back AND extended the invitation for Wagenfolks to enlarge the show to outside our club VW owners. _________________ The closer your tattoos are to your body holes, the crazier you are.

I hated to have missed out on the camp out due to work but I did have a good time on Saturday afternoon and my daughter had a good time playing at the campground. Again next year sounds great. Thanks for all of the hard work that was put in by those who set up, cooked and contributed. _________________ 'Nanner Yellow '73 Thing

It is with a very heavy heart to post that Scott lost his mother yesterday in an acident.
Scott's mother Judy was a vibriant, fantastic lady and I will miss her. I spoke to Scott a few minutes ago and he and his family are with his father in Lexington right now.
Keep Scott and family in our prayers. _________________ The closer your tattoos are to your body holes, the crazier you are.

Sorry to hear about your loss Scott, your family will be in my prayers.
I had a scare of my own this week with my grandpa, it's times like this we need family, friends, and answered prayers to help us pull through. |

The weather for CTS (Charlotte Transporter Show) and Farmington this weekend looks great!
For any bus guys going to CTS or Farmington, Darlene and I will be taking my empty dual axle trailer with us to the Farmington show. If you cannot make it back home, I can bring you back.
If you are going South this weekend, PM me and I will email you my cell #. _________________ The closer your tattoos are to your body holes, the crazier you are.

Looks like everyone had a great time - and the weather worked out great. Sorry I didn't get to make it - it has been real busy at work making it hard to catch up on things around the house. Hopefully I will get the time to come to the next meeting.

Met up with a few other club members for a local show earlier today. Ken's dad Larry had us ten spots reserved. We filled all but one. There was a 65 also in there that I didn't get a picture of.
Pretty decent showing of VWs for a local show. There were only three at this show last year. Hopefully, more next year. |

Hello
Have any of you guys sold anything that was going overseas? Might sell a bus to someone in england but I'm a little leery. Just wanted to check with you local guys first and see how it went for you.
Thank
Tony |

tony, i think i would be alot leery about an overseas sale. i always post in my adds that i will only sell in usa and canada. in this day in age there are just too many scammers. i guess if you recieved full payment up front it may be okay, but what about shipping? are you gonna lose your behind in shipping costs? i dont know your situation, or how bad you need to sell, but i would hate to see you lose money, and the bus! cause there is really no way you can go after this guy if something goes wrong, like you can with ebay. thats my 2 cents, for what its worth.

Selling overseas is no different than selling to someone on the other end of the country. The buyer takes care of shipping. The Bus doesn't go anywhere until you have your money. They can wire transfer the funds and depending on your bank you can have the $$ in just a few days. _________________ Aaron B.

Tony,
Selling overseas is easier than selling to someone in the states in my opinion.
Basically heres what Ive done in the past...I have them paypal me 500 for a down payment. Then you will need to get them your account number and banking info which usually is somekind of bank code...they take that info to their bank and the money gets transfered directly to your account. Your bank may charge you a small processing fee..but its not much at all...Then about 3 or 4 weeks later a truck will show up in front of your house and they will load the bus and take it away and you wont have to think about it again.
Its easy! Dont miss selling a bus, its not much work at all. _________________ aka: Brad |
