I am looking forward to it!
I am bringing some Ghia glass and some odds and ends for the swap. I have a new aluminum truck box that I could bring to trade. I am interested in engines, engine parts, suspension parts, and brakes for a 70 Ghia race car. PM me if interested. |

We've added Valve Cover Racing!!! So if u have made a valve cover racer and your Bug or Buggy is not complete, come on out and drag race! Also, the Tiki Bar will open early so after lunch you can go over and have a drink overlooking the showgrounds.
So as we look at it, Friday night Tiki Bar Pre-Dripfest Party 6pm-on, Saturday Dripfest 5 9am-3pm, Sat Night Tiki Final lap!, Sunday Dub-N-Rub!!!!!!
VWBeachBum, wat time u arriving???? we can send an aircooled to pick u up! _________________ Knowledge is Power, Education is the Key....

He has gone and created a second event on the same day to compete within the club. Dripfest or pints and quarts. Its going to create a crips/bloods style war... _________________ 59 Kombi

Last year we was in the lower lot, it was a little dusty. The Upper lot is by the Tiki Bar, signs will be posted. Buggys and Buses will have VIP parking! Swaps will have shade!
Also there will be Valve Cover Racing! No experience necessary.. _________________ Knowledge is Power, Education is the Key....

Dripfest and Mind Your Pints & Quarts Show just means the OCOD are invading the East Coast...So here's the OCOD challenge for the die-harders:
Friday night Tiki Bar/Camping, Saturday Dripfest, then hop on a plane at 3pm, fly to JAX, drive 20minutes to Engine 15 for Mind Your Pints & Quarts--b/c our show here starts at 5pm, stay over, fly back early Sunday and attend Dub N Rub......
so for anybody interested in both shows, here's the flyer...

Jim and I have been trying to work out a parking "agenda" for everyone. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee shade to everyone - it's just the nature of the location. Therefore, there will be no special treatment to buses or buggies - first come, first served, so to speak. For the past attendees you know what you're dealing with - a rocky, dusty lot with some gullies in the middle. We'll try to make it the best for everyone, but at the moment the game plan looks like this for parking:
Vendors will be under shade near the foods, show cars scattered elsewhere. If you want to be set together as a group, it is highly advised to meet up outside the location and come in together. An advisory is issued for low(ered) cars that the exit road is highly potholed and may cause some issues. With that in mind if you want to leave, find one of the staff that will be in the parking lot area and we'll guide you back out the entrance, which is much friendlier.
We will be striping designated parking areas as well if we get permission from the facility owner, which will help with car placement. Let's hope for good weather!

I've never been to this show and I am planning on making the trek from MD.
Wife has questions since I am "pitching" the show to her.
Looks like we will drive up in the oval Friday night and camp. I know there is food on saturday, but is there any food on Friday night or should I pack a grill and food too?
*EDIT* Oh, and showers. So y'all let me know if there is food and showers Friday night, cool thanks guys. _________________ My '57 build:
