hey thing fans Very Happy ! I am building a 73 with a lincoln contienental (73) hood in front and the concourse spare in the back. It was to have a corvair monza engine in it but we decided on putting a porsche 930 with six carbs and six coils in it plus the five speed! we're callin it "ThinCon"! like thinkin pretty radical considering it'll have 4-500 hp! anyway I totall Yneed to upgrade the breaks. Ive heqrd that 944 porsche brakes qnd rotors will fit. I am trying to not make it look like vw at all! All the purists can scaffaw all they want. I'm a hotrod builder and was challenged to build a hot rod out of a vwchassis. It already looks cool. It has a 1940's windshield to. but if there is ANY ADVICE TO HELPING ME BUILD THIS BUILD i WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. I love carS. tHATS ALL I CAN SAY! i'LL POST PICS SOON. iT'S A GREAT SITE YOU ALL HAVE AND i LOOK FORWARD TO USING IT BETTER AND HELPING OTHERS!

Welcome DINO!! I will say that is an interesting concept you've got schemed up! I'm always up for out of the box, although you're putting a porsche engine INTO a Box, with a hood from a longer BOX on it! LOL...

Got my interest! Is this an event challenge for real, or just a personal/club challenge??

Rock 'n' Roll man!!! Let's see some progress...

What's your budget for brakes? I upgraded to aftermarket 4 wheel discs some time ago - the kits are usually fairly inexpensive and you don't have to run around sourcing stuff. If you want higher quality or prettier parts and have the budget, you can go with an Airkewld kit. There are Porsche parts that bolt on as well.

Keep in mind that many of the conversions will leave you without a parking brake. Shop around accordingly if that's important to you.
