No, not holding me up. What did you break on your adjusters??
Mine are in, high beams working and all. Haven't aligned yet , but will use your link up top. Thought I was done with electrical, started messing with speedo and must have grounded or shorted something cause now I don't have front left fender light working. It's always something, getting tired of having cut up hands. WANT TO DRIVE!!! |

Hey Locky,
Good, I've been sidetracked into a circle around the house with everything except installing these lights!
The heat let up a bit but it's supposed to return this weekend,
I may try to do one side tonight and see how she goes.
The plastic/metal adustment nut that does the Mustangs verticle adjustment broke on me, plastic disentergrated, so i just orderd a replacement. so once I get that done (it's lights were the worst) at least I can drive it when thats done.
I nut up when both of my fun vehicles are broken!! 
Sorry for my delays, I'll def take photos.

New Hella H4 assy and bulb
Managed to wiggle existing plug in orange cup Do slowly it should go
This pic shows cup with plug at bottom, wont go on easy this way so…
I rolled the cup inside outwards so I could plug it on the bulb then roll the cup back over
roll the cup back over for dust/water protection
Driver side Done! Now to just install the outer chrome cover.
Upon Passenger install, found a broken plastic standoff on the other light, RATS!
This last photo shows how that other broken standoff should look when it's NOT broke, This is the driver side assy.

Well, I went for it last night, driver side was piece o' cake,
passenger side, no go, got a broken light. Geez, I thought we checked this stuff at Kubeltreffen, but we didnt' do that close of an inspection, we just confirmed all was in box. Looks like I'll need to contact THE THING SHOP, which I did last night, via email, I may call them in a few min since I'm on lunch.
If anyone is thinking about this upgrade, so far (besides the broken part) I'm happy with the install. once the broke light is fixed, I'll have to adjust, but the one light is way brigher on first test.

| Doubles, mine was broken on the white plastic mounting piece. I fixed it with short strand fiberglass body filler. It worked well. Figured it was way less of a hassle to fix rather than send back. As we know, nothing is easy. Aside from the broken part, I like the upgrade, and install was super easy. Just need to find some longer screws for the Bezel. |

Geez, it's always somthing it seems,
but good news though, I spoke with the THING shop they are going to swap it for me.
This part being broken would have been a stress point, not sure of the white part being a stress point but as long as it works.
This was SUPER EASY, dont know why I put it off (except for the heat).

Well,
just an update;
still waiting on the replacement hella assy from the THING shop, but
I did use that "grid pattern" for headlight alighnment on the Mustang,
it got me in the ball park, I had to do a road test and made about 5 adjustments along the way, this is a bit of a time consuming task but on the Mustang I got decent headlights now.
This may have been due to me not having a true level surface, but one that was close (Gravel driveway) but it got me in the ballpark cause I was
WAY off before,
Well, just throwing that out there, as soon as my replacement light comes in, i'll get the Thing adjusted and rock on.

Well got the replacement light in yesterday, did the swap,
and tested, I got HELLA bright lights now! 
just gotta aim em' and I should be good.
Probably should test drive before saying this but so far, even in the garage, they look really bright, way more than the stock bulbs.
I'm not sure if just round halogen replacements would have done the same but these look good.
Now I can see better & stop better hopefully that = safer.

| Just got a pair of headlights from TTS. In comparing new assembly to old there are no springs in the new assembly. Also do I need to remove old chrome rings from old assembly and put on new ones? Need to do soon to get car inspected for show this weekend. |

If you're talking about the outer chrome bezel then Yes you use it on your new assembly. I still haven't put mine on but will this week. They are a tight fit, from what I remember from last fall before I put her away.

You will not need it or even be able to use it on your new lights.

| No, your new assembly should have the mounting setup with the headlight. Take a look at Doubles pics above. Everything comes out from your old setup to make room for the new. Use the old chrome bezels for the last piece to put on. |

Hey BZZBUG, them Hellas are pretty bright aren't they? (over stocks at least).
Just a note, on headlight adjustments,
Dont be scared of the adjustments, now that I've done 3 vehicles:
Thing, Mustang, Wife's Toyota Paseo (after a deer ran into her car);
I've learned the surface dont have to be 100%flat, but as close as ya can get. a driveway will work.
The 25 feet distance from your tape grid is best to stick with, as far as the Horizontal line from right to left headlight, Just keep your lights
"main beam" a bit below that so you wont blind on coming drivers.
Good starting rule of thumb.
I re-adjusted my lights after a few road trips and 'just' went a tad over the horizontal, it really made a difference on how far my low beams hit further out front , and the hi-beams you can see everything now.
On the Mustang I had to raise the beams a tad over the horizontal, and adjust a bit to the passenger side to get the drivers headlight out of the oncoming lane, and get the passenger light over to see the ditch a bit.
It really changed the feel of driving the Stang, the Thing too,
on both, before this, the headlights were WAY off, and almost pointing about a car lenght down in front on low beams, crappy for country driving.
well, just my learned 2 cents if anybody needs it.
