Don't take top gear seriously, he wasn't entirely serious. What is true is that you can't engine brake. But it can idle just the same as any other car. It runs just like a weedeater, and those idle just fine. Although they'll almost run without oil Laughing

79SuperVert's red car bares resemblance to an AC Ace, particularly in the headlights and the radiator opening. Plus, it's a right hand drive.

Berkely?

Fiberglass bodied like the Berkely but not from the same country although the internals are English Ford. Only 25 were produced.

This vehicle came into our shop today, thought it was a gazelle copy at first glance, its actually a clenet. Got to looking at it closely and spotted some familiar parts.

Straight 6 engine, weight 1,910 pounds, top speed 99 mph, transverse leaf spring front suspension, successfully raced in hill climbs and circuit races.

The name of this car is...anyone?...anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

Too funny! I kind of thought that's what you meant but then, nah, that can't be it. Who pays attention to my posts! Very Happy Yeah, I never named it. I still call it "The Beetle".

So, as to red sports coupe, it's a Buckle from Australia. The maker went on to become a manufacturer of Goggomobil's there.
