That bus is for sale for $60K according to the sign Mahk had on at the Classics.
Considering it made it cross country and back with very minor issues, and looks fan freaking tastic, someone should step up!
He should get it pinstriped, then it would sell... _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

Day one to Octo, after driving 400 miles, Vince and Clara showed up. Leaving home with a cracked block turned out to be a dumb idea.
Pulling my engine in Eugene, Oregon after a failed input trans seal.
At Mt. Shasta.
At Kombi Haus for Barndoor cruise, 932 miles into the trip.
Not long after the cruise started, about 5 blocks actually, I lost all oil, lucky Chad from the Bus Pilots had an empty trailer.
Barndoor work at Blackstar.
Nick bringing me an engine Randy had in the area (Thanks a ton)
Host Hotel engine swap, late night before Octo.
After Chuck's party, The Lind and I changing tires for the cruise home.
Camping on the top of the Grapevine.
Cruising around Crater Lake, Oregon.
Bus made the 1300 miles plus drive home on the engine laying in Nick's garage. Thanks to Randy, Nick, Chad, Bus Pilots, The Lind and Adam for making it happen. Was fun catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and working on my Bus. _________________ ---

Eric, I think everyone has to know that the engine with the cracked block has offered many thousands of trouble free, if not oily, miles of faithful duty. You have been driving on that engine through a half-dozen buses and bugs for at least 4-5 years. Who'da thunk it would finally give up the ghost in the middle of your trip? Nice to know that the community stepped up to help out. _________________

looks like fun guys! wish I could have been there. It was nice seeing the '54 made the trip. I'd love to hear some comments from louie what he thought of it. Maybe some more pictures if there are any. _________________ RED RIVER VW CLUB---www.redrivervwclub.com
