I tried shoegoo the other day to fix my cracked mudflap. It held, but I tested the bond to see how it would flex and it wouldnt hold up.

Don't know if anyone's looking for a pair of sleep extenders, but $175 isn't a bad price for them. And I met the guy at a show last weekend. Decent fellow.

Those went super quick. I emailed him as soon as I saw your post and he emailed me back the next day saying he sold them. Bummer.

That sucks.

We got a pair by putting up a WTB ad. You might want to try it....

First person who contacted us wanted to sell us NOS ones in a box for $400. A few days later, someone else contacted us with NOS ones in a box for $225 shipped. A little high priced maybe but it's worth the extra $25-$50 to not have to be searching all the time.

Yeah, I had thought about doing that, but I never have much luck with WTB ads. I always seem to get responses from people who want way too much, or they dont want to give me a price hoping Im so desperate Ill throw out an insane number. A couple of times when Ive asked them to just tell me how much they want instead of me offering because it'll probably piss them off, they just say thanks and thats it. Really bugs me.

I hear you. I have a WTB ad up now for dual port 311 cylinder heads. Had ONE response from a guy who had two rebuilts for sale at an OK price, although I had no idea on quality of the rebuild, so was taking a chance. He wanted to charge me 3% extra for using PayPal. I told him I'd send a check. He said no, he accepted only PayPal, but just didn't want to pay the fees. Rolling Eyes

When the guy then quoted me $50 shipping, I just stopped communicating. Yes, he was in USA. I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid. I guess he thought I was fair game since I didn't haggle the original price. Rolling Eyes

Thats the thing, I wouldnt know what a NOS set would go for, Ive never seen any. D/A/N said he bought a NOS set shipped for $225. Personally, I would pay around $200 for a used set. A NOS set? I dunno, maybe $300? Then again, somebody else who really wants a set might pay more. I dont absolutely have to have a set, they would be cool to have but Im not jonesing for them. And the thing is, Id be happy with a good used set, I wouldnt need NOS ones. I hate using NOS stuff, Id rather keep it in the box.

I had a WTB ad up for a Bosch parts cabinet, and all the people who contacted me didnt want to give me a price. I threw out some offers, but they said no, so obviously they knew what they wanted for it, they just wanted me to give them a crazy number.

Funny, I just came across 2 ads from New York for Bosch parts cabinets....one of them wants $65 the other (which looks much cleaner) says "BO".

Shaven....I got the idea of $200 for sleep extenders from somewhere earlier in this thread but I don't recall if whoever suggested it was referring to NOS or not. Either way, $225 shipped for the parts in their box and still wrapped in plastic feels good to me. Of course my car doesn't run but at least I could sleep in it if I wanted Rolling Eyes

Ouch!

The first guy to contact us via our WTB ad wanted $400 but said he usually got $450 international. His name was "obsoletegerman". Is that your guy?

The price is just crazy unless you're going on a trip and you make the money back in not having to pay for hotels. If we can buy them for $225 and someone else just sold a pair (not NOS, not in box) for $175 then you can do a lot better. Sure the shipping will be a lot, but not $200 a lot.

Possible rarest of the rare?

Are those type 3 specific?

I scored a nice set yesterday, but mine appear to have a squarer valve hole?

Yes, they are Type 3 ones because of the Type 3 part #.

It would not surprise me if there are 2 different styles that look very similar.

Found my box of coco mats. Three styles represented. All were NOS when I got them. The two that are obviously used were rotated in and out over the years in my daily driver notch. Too bad because they were they cool over-the-hump kind.

Not so much... Except for the wear and tear from feet, they got wet from the years of the notch turning into a bathtub while living in Seattle so the red dye bled into the white. Also, they are NOT at all colorfast, so the sun faded them out a bit. I intend on keeping them since they are still usable and actually dont look that bad once in the car.
