My wife and I went to the BX this morning to drop off her glasses to be repaired. When we got back to the car some a$$hole had hit the rear drivers-side bumper of my car! The impact twisted the bumper and dented the fender. The piece of $hit didn't leave a note or anything! I hope karma hits you back hard, you f**king bastard!

Unfortunately, I only have liability coverage, so the insurance can't help me. I'm going to remove the fender and see if I can pop the dent out from the back side. Maybe I can straighten the bumper too?

I know it doesnt help after the fact but look into full coverage. For my 71 it was only a few bucks more a month through USAA.

I only work for the military. I'm not in the military. So I'm not eligible for USAA. GEICO is my only choice right now, but when I was in North Carolina, Farm Bureau covered my 64 Beetle for an agreed upon value for $50 every 6 months.

I was able to pop out the main dent, so it doesn't look too bad. Far from perfect, but at least tolerable. The bumper is still very crooked. I'll have to start looking for a replacement. Does a late model Karmann Ghia bumper fit a late model T3? I thought I read that it does...

A Chrome Shop will straighten it out perfect with their air hammers before they re-chrome it.
