Love this... Really like your front bumper with the tongue. Very original. Do you have build pics? Might have to steal the wind up idea. How'd you do that? _________________ www.BASEBALLCARDART.com |

Hey all,
Thanks! I made the key a couple of years ago. I entered my little buggy in a 2011 Hot Rod show and parked between a GTO Judge and a 69 Camaro. I drove home with a trophy!!! Thanks to my "wind em up" key! I never knew that they existed before or I would have just bought one. It was just a crazy idea from the creative side of my mind.
I hand made all the parts with a lathe and milling machine. I used a very small 12 volt motor and geared it down with a pulley system that I hand made as well. I did calculations and made the pulleys so it would "unwind" at 5 RPM.

Thank you Art,
I do have a few build pictures posted. I will try to post a few more as well.
I recently upgraded my rear suspension as well. I had a 66 pan with a swing axle, but now I have an IRS out of a 73. It was a lot of work, but well worth it. What a nice improvent to the ride!!!
Thanks,
Dan |
