hi i`m new.
this is my first jetta i bought it back in march and it ran like a champ for two months. then it started taking a long time to start but would start.
then one day i was driving down the highway exited and it started acting strange like it was firing on half the pistons. i turned it off and started it back up and it drove but wont rev up. so i towed it home.
i ran codes and got a misfire on piston one and a faulty speed sensor. i changed the plugs and coil and have a solid spark. it appears to be getting plenty of gas, the pump comes on i smell fuel in the exhaust etc. but i cant get it to start again. it cranks and cranks and even sounds like its starting to catch but nothing does.
can anyone give me some advice?
this is my only car and i`m desperatley trying to keep cost down while fixing it.

thank you
will

Kind of sounds like your spark plugs are fouled.

When you turn the key on, is the check engine light coming on? If not, the power relay for the ecm is probably faulty.
