Car is running well and once we swap things back from ECTA to USFRA requirements we'll be running the Turbokfer again with the "big block" turbo.
Everything else is gravy. Looking at aero mods and suspension height before a final alignment but can't wait. Really hoping to attain 130 club status. If we do we can start hitting the 36 build pretty hard. _________________ 1969 Beetle, turbo 1915

It was the same big block turbo wieth the hole in the head repaired and several other tweaks. Just stating that we will not be running a new engine yet. _________________ 1969 Beetle, turbo 1915

Fiatdude, keep the thrash going. You are not the only one at this stage. Oddly, for some reason they all seem to be Ghias? Wonder "wha's up?'.

2 or more of Team ROCO, Lake Havasu City are heading out Thursday and going to set up Friday a.m. I also think Britt (aka Roadcow) will also be there.
We will be setting up 60 feet or so of canopies and am sure they can mark off some area next to us. How much do you need/want? _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

I think we'll be rolling in Friday, late morning, early afternoon with the convoy from Mendon and SLC with Burly and the gang. With 40+ cars were going to need a few acres of realestate. . We need room for a buggy, a Lola, and a single cab......
51 days and counting

Dan, as the early arrivals you and Karl have now been assigned to "pit acquisition" duty. Look's like you better try to set aside least two rows of one eigth mile at the north pit entrance!
See you soon......................

Life looks better now that I -FINALLY!- got the outside color on yesterday at a friends paint shop. Two, maybe three weeks and I'll have it assembled. Got the tags squared away last week, ready to run! As I slaved away on the body work, I rediscovered why it's been under a tarp in my garage since 1985......it's all good, it's now done. I made a thread for it in the 58-67 forum that will eventually have a link to a page on my site. This years car is a 60 ragtop RHD standard beetle that was suposed to have come from South Africa. I'll know for sure on it's origin once I get the birth certificate. So yes, I'll be making the salt journey again! _________________ 30 years experience in the sales of new and used auto parts!

The above items are not required for 130 MPH Club competitors but highly reccommended. Those are required for all full race cars running on the longer three and five mile tracks.

Just got home from Ireland and had an hour before dark so I started to remove the clutch tube out of a Junk bug pan to install in the Race Ghia which was an Autostick. Kind of hated to mess up a good pan but someone had already cut the ID # off of it. _________________ 71 Westy Roadcow
