Hey guys,

I'm in a bit of a bind here. I have the 34mm Dual Solex carbs on my 1679cc engine, with 041 MOFOCO heads and mild cam. Problem is the carbs came with 22mm vents which are to small so I ordered 28mm ones and was told by CB that those were to big for engine. (Having a terrible time tuning them).

Anyway, is there anyone in here the can open the 22mm ones up to say 24mm?

there's nothing wrong with 28mm. 35PDSITs come with 27s and tune fine.

Swapped the Compufire for a Bosch blue and some points I had sitting around, started 1st crank. Took her out for a drive, pulls harder, more RPM, and runs smoother. I think I'll be sticking with points from now on.
