what does it mean? im guessing quality but i don't know. can someone please explain the differences to me please.

well, im looking at buying paint from glasurit (i think) and it gives me options of 22,55,or 90

IMHO 55.

I think 22 is single stage, and 90 is a water-saturated process.

Never use their products though.

I use PPG only.

22 is single stage---55 is basecoat and i think 90 is a waterbourne product. Do not quoate me on the 90. Glazurit is a superior product.
