It would fit but it wouldn't be correct. 60 is the last year for the "square" shaped parcel tray that the master cylinder resevoir sits on. You would also have a metal rather than plastic resevoir. Also your car has no provisions for windsheild squirters (the tank would sit in that area on later model bugs).

Dont use it...its way different. most of what changed from '60 to '61 is in the trunk (fuel tank, brake res, inspection plates, etc.) even if you cared nothing about correctness, and just wanted it on the road, the fuel tank might not even mount properly? Find the right one-they're out there!
