Pedals cleaned and repainted. The right side of LHD clutch shaft tube is stepped to receive a bushing. Is there supposed to be a bushing on the pedal side? The tube I.D. measures ~19mm and there is no shoulder or step for a bushing on pedal side. The clutch shaft measures ~17mm O.D. so there is significant 'slop' on this side. Thanks! |

According to the parts manual there should be:
1. Qty 2 of the 111 721 113 A listed as for the brake, but looks like one of these also does the clutch on the left.
2. Qty 1 of the 111 721 137 for the clutch on the right _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Might try the rebuilder of pedal assemblies in the classifieds, or have a local machine shop make a dozen or more, and sell the extras to cover your cost. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Yeah- I think I'll have machinist friend make one long one for the clutch shaft and tube out of high density molecular weight nylon or whatever that stuff is called. I would think an interference fit for the tube to keep the bushing in place would be ideal. Plus, it'll never need grease! I did this for my '58 MGA's steering column at the ends in lieu of using oiled felts as per the original! |

I have been making these bushings and rebuilding Oval Pedal assemblies since 2005, in 98 out of 100 Pre Aug 57 pedals this bushing is missing from that side,
Please let me know how they turn out,
Scott
