i'm trying to remove the shock absorber on the passenger side of my 67 sqbk. I have removed the bottom bolt without any problem, but I can't get the top bolt to come out. It turns but does not back out. So my guess is either the bolt is stripped or the nut or both maybe. Now the nut on top is not a removable nut, it is conceled. How do i get this bolt out and then how do I replace it if the conceled nut is damaged? |

The welded nut has broken loose. You will have to cut an access hole opposite the nut and hold it. Then you will have to weld it back in, and weld the hole closed. At one time there was a tech bulletin on this repair. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey
