Very cool and nice and low.
Is that with dual Dellorto blow through or injection?
You did make quite a sacrefice for the linkage room to have more intake lenth tubing didn't you
An intercooler would be difficult to position and still get some cooling air through it huh?

Have you run this engine yet? I've considered a header similar to yours with a Garrett turbocharger, but I've been concerend about it getting too hot. _________________ OGST

it runs pretty good. its dual dellortos. i had to modify it a little from the pictures on the stand. i'm not using the intercooler right now, its an air to water type, so airflow isnt an issue. the head and oil temps stayed about the same when i added the turbo, no cooling issues yet. im running 12lbs |

i think it fits pretty good. the apron was kinda messed up to begin with, and i just bent it out a little so it wouldn't hit the exhaust.

That's not my engine, and I haven't purchased a turbo for my car yet. I'm still debating it.

No one is producing anything in "kit" form that I am aware of, but the turbo system that I was thinking of building would be fuel injected. Headers would have to be fabricated...a *good* local muffler shop should be able to make headers for you. _________________ OGST

How long have you been running that engine now? I've been looking into doing a 2110 turbo but was leary about overheating. 12lbs. isn't too much? I was thinking around 8... _________________ 2 69 fastbacks

typfasty - i only have around 1500 miles on it since the turbo. more time is needed to guage how it will really hold up to the boost.
strklygerman - i haven't added up the total cost, but i would estimate close to $1000 plus a running engine. |
