Sounds kinda fishy The equation is simple more power, bigger motor. Not true it would seem with ricers that can handel more rpm and air and fuel shoved down their throats. The stock VW motor cant hang unless its gone thru from the ground up being totaly modified. Add $$ to the 1641 and it will wash the dishes for ya. But the same $$ can get you more power and a bigger motor.
If you want to just make a reliable drive, go with a 1600. A 1776 will make things a bit more fun. Outside that open your wallet. _________________
