I don't think those are the right parts for that distributor. Those numbers are for the Bosch 050 - which, while it was made in Brazil like yours was - your distributor doesn't look like an 050. It looks more like an aluminum body clone of an 010 or 019. Maybe Glenn will chime in with advice here...

But, since you asked... you can get those 050 cap/rotor kits here:

I wasn't real sure about the numbers. I got those from an auto parts store and the fellow wasn't real sure about the numbers. I'll contact the source you offered and see what they have.

Thanks!

I did a little more research on that - found this thread, which says nothing as far as what cap/rotor to use:

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=235409&start=0

And this ad for what looks like an older version of that same unit, in theSamba Classifieds:

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1241157

And this listing for a NOS one for sale in Brasil:

That sort of looks like Bosch 04038 rotor to me.

The cap however, well, that distributor has an alignment lug sticking up, so a Bosch 03010 cap wouldn't work with it, as they are set up for an aligment notch. Maybe one could be modified to work though.

My guess is that you may not be able to find anything that will fit that.

"Yep" that is the same one as I have!
I also have been talking to some old VW guys here local and was told that the dist. is actually a good piece but, if I can't find a cap / rotor...
Thanks again for your effort!
I'll have to get ahold of "Glenn" in here as he would most definitely know what I need.

And, thanks for the input!

Glenn will proabably have them. I'm surprised he's not chimed in yet, but I don't know if he looks at the Vintage Speed forum very often. I don't know if that's the best place for this topic actually. Anyway, I'd send him a PM.

That cap also known as the VW part number 111905207B

And just Googling those numbers:

http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-03019-Distributor-Cap/dp/B000GX40N4

http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=111905207B

http://busdepot2.webappcabaret.net/details.jsp?partnumber=111905207B

http://www.texasaircooled.com/catalog/BOSCH-03019-Dist-Cap-36hp.html

and many others.

I do believe those are the correct caps!
I'll give them a call in the AM and see if they have rotors to match.
Thanks again, you've been very helpful!

The 36Hp rotor is the 04 008 which replaces the old 111 905 225C. Not sure if that's the one needed here, but if it is, 04008 is the number to use.

Here's some discussion of original vs replacement parts for 36HP distirbutors
