Does anyone have any experience with making 356 mods to a Ghia? I have found some information about cutting back the front headlight area to install 356 headlights - I'd be interested in hearing about any other mods.

Ugh...356 headlight hack isn't my idea of an upgrade. This is more like it:

If you search "356" in the Ghia Forum you'll find a lot of references to engine transplants and 356 brake "upgrades" including this one: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6240980

356B drum brakes on all four corners and a 90 hp 356 engine would make for great period mods for a link-pin ('65 and earlier) ghia. Hell no to the headlights though.
