converting swing axle housing to IRS?????

If I weld on IRS pivot perches to my swing axle housing can I use stock IRS spring plates and spring plate rods in this same housing? I want to Make my swing axle into IRS with out cutting the whole unit out. Question

as long as your talking about the torsion tubes and actual suspension then yes, you still need to replace the entire tranny though

Yes using using swing axle torsion housing welded to frame putting 3 rib in , I have the pivot clips , just wanting to know if swing axle torsion housing can be used with IRS spring plates and torsion bars?

You need a jig to correctly locate the IRS pivots to weld them on a swingaxle housing.
