|
|
Let me point out the obvious... I'm new.
Where would I find the switch for the wiper motor?
Headlights - Check
Emergency flashers - Check
Turn Signals - Check
Horn - Check
This switch under the dash by the key, that lights up a green light in the cluster - Check
Thanks. |

The switch under the dash by your key is for the rear window defrost
If yours is original and actually works consider it a rarity (the defrost grid that is, not the switch) _________________ I'm the humblest guy on this board.

Take care with that "switch under the dashboard that lights up a green light in the cluster". I believe it's your rear defroster switch. If you leave it on, all the time, you may drain your battery.

No risk of that, they are only powered when the ignition is on. _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

Hm? I've heard that leaving the defroster switch on for long periods (despite the fact that it's only powered while the ignition is on) will drain the battery. Especially if you're also using the wipers, blower fan, headlights--and all that.

Also the wiper knob insert will only stay in the knob if it has the backing ring. I've never actually seen one before. My 69 came with quarters for insert. PO literally put quarters in the knobs. Who does that? _________________ Wash your hands

Do you need the insert to make the knob work? I tried pulling on it like the Headlights and it won't pull out... but it does unscrew.
Thanks for all the responses! |
