I've seen several of them run at the track. It's gonna take 8's to get on that top ten list. I know Tina's truck could run 8.50's before they put the nitrous on it for the show. I'll guess that with the best tune Fast Eddie can put on Azn's Bug he might run high 9's. Remember the Turbo Bug Jesse James built on Monster Garage a few years ago. There were some pretty stout people on his build team and he only ran low 10's. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

Could anybody in the know tell me what an engine setup like the one in Dung beetle would cost roughly to have built by a reputable shop? I believe Jake Raby's 2332 Type 4 runs in the neighborhood of 15 grand, so I suspect it is in that realm, but Type 4's are a bit more costly than the Type 1. Although the turbo probably pushes it back up there into the stratosphere. Someday I would like to have a Raby 2332 in my 914 and a Turbo 2332 in my 60 bug. Federal reserve notes are the only thing keeping me from having them, but dreams are free. Go Dung Beetle!! _________________ Your Ex asking to be friends after breaking up is like Kidnappers asking to "keep in touch" after letting you go. |

Ten grand, that's quite a bit less than I thought. It doesn't seem so far out of reach at that price. Time to start saving. I was also wondering, do Farm Truck and Azn have day jobs? All the other guys seem to own shops, but they never seem to show what the Farm Truck boys do. Or do they make all their money "fishin"? _________________ Your Ex asking to be friends after breaking up is like Kidnappers asking to "keep in touch" after letting you go. |

On the show he says it's a 2332 pushing around 400hp. Im No engine builder but I love HP. I'm building an engine that if I recall correctly is going to be 2338 or 2337. Been a couple years since I figured it out but I've been told by a couple people it should put out "around" 200hp "easy". Don't know how accurate that is but my question is, will that turbo on Azn's car ad 200hp? Seems like a lot for it to double the HP but again I'm no expert. Hell I'd be thrilled with 250-300 hp and can't imagine driving a 400hp + Bug. |

The funniest thing about this show to me if features some of the same things that its biggest fans bagged on in The Fast and the Furious film of 2001 (flames out the exhaust, extended racing footage that lasted seemingly forever, etc). The same crowd that's all excited about this show was ripping on a fictional movie, and to me they're two separate worlds. In movies, fictional liberties are to be expected. |

The Buses are customers of "Fast Eddie" the gut that built the engine for AZN's Bug. Varley rents 1/2 the building and Eddie has the other 1/2. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK
