Pop testing some injectors for the first time

Hello,

I have just build myself an diesel injector pop-tester from a hydraulic bottle jack, following the instructions found on the internet.

For my first tests I have used 4 injectors ( 1.6 Diesel from a Golf 2, cannot remember the engine code ) that I had laying around. Probably old and worn out.

In my first tests I have noticed an odd behaviour with all my injectors:

As I start to raise pressure, starting from 0 and reach 30-50 bars I get a couple of squirts from the injectors, (although the pressure would seem to be very low for that) , than as I build more pressure the injectors start squirting normally at 130-150 bars , depending of which injector was tested.

Anyway.. is this kind of behavior normal (squirting first at 30-50ish bars as the pressure goes up) , or are my injectors faulty ? (which would be very likely of course ) .
