At a car show this past Sunday, the best story I heard was from a former Cub Scout. He told me that his Scoutmaster was an old German man with a Beetle. He would take the troop on trips in the Beetle, and told them to each bring a few potatoes, each one wrapped in aluminum foil. Before starting their trip, he would place the potatoes in the engine compartment. By the time they arrived at their destination, their potatoes would be fully baked and ready to eat! _________________ Central Jersey VW Society

That's great, Glenn. I especially like the recommended cooking "mileages":
"Carbecue cooking times are usually written in terms of miles, rather than minutes. Here are some examples from recipes found online:
Shrimp: 30-50 miles
Trout or Salmon: 60-100 miles
Chicken breasts: 60 miles at 65 mph
Chicken wings: 140-200 miles
Pork tenderloin: 250 miles
Sliced, peeled potatoes: 55 miles " _________________ Central Jersey VW Society
