Boy!
Times are sure a'changing!

I'm doing a thorough garage reorganization opening boxes I've not opened for years and being a tad ruthless throwing stuff away!
(Some of which I'm sure I'll be regretting soon)
But, I've tons of space now! Or at least I'm much better organized!

I figure when I die...... I've just made my children's life a whole lot easier!

Anyway, I'm astounded with the amount of
Coax cable, ends, tools, outlet covers, etc
Telephone wire, junction boxes, splitters, etc
RG45 wire, ends, tools, preformed cables, etc
USB wires for printers and other accessories for wired desk tops. All sorts of odd mini ends, etc.
Ribbon wire for old desk tops, block off plates, screws, wires for mice and key boards, etc

Who would ever dream that these essential modern day electronic bits would be obsolete!

I've saved some, a representation of each group but really? I doubt that I'll ever need most of what I've saved what with cell phones, wireless phones, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.

Bags and bags of electronic "trash"! Sadly, much of it brand new!.......

I've got a box of stuff like that- the only person it really helps out is the guy I know that collects obsolete computers and the games that can be played on them...we only own one computer that will allow me to install and play Doom '95

sounds like the 10¢-each box at the bottom of the last shelf in the back of the thrift store or pawn shop...

That's awesome Dave. Ironically, I was just having problems with my WiFi (5 minutes ago). So I plugged my good ol' trusty RJ45 cable in the wall and bingo- speed reacquired.

I don't know how many times I've purged my garage of these old things, only to find I just donated the only power cord my daughter's digital frame uses, wife's toy, etc...

Ha!
That's one of my fears...... Throwing away something proprietary and needed.

I operated under the "if in doubt save it" mentality. Just to head off problems like this.

Hmmm.... "Wife's toy" ......... Not going there! Shocked
