I bought a split beetle a while back and got a roll of this cloth. 64" wide and 19 feet long. The pattern is similar to a 1950 split but yet does not match. It is German cloth. I am thinking it might be newer like mid to later 1950's European? anyone know. Brown in color. Tim

It looks like the Bedford Cord material for 53-55 ovals.

Is it like this?

Tim,

That looks like 1959/60 Euro cloth for the L 346 mango green, L 349 jade green and L 419 ceramic green cars, I used to call this cloth the "Pajama Stripe" cloth.

Very kool and now very rare, sure someone restoring a European car (August 1959 to August 1960) car would be very happy to have that cloth bundle.

Tom
