I have a 73. Thing and bought a set of 74 thing side vintage my question is if I put these on my 73. Will it run hor or maybe have the vents love red Ronnoe

These side "VENTs" are known by many terms..."ear muffs", "hamster checks",..... Not sure why you're calling them "vintage"....

Dennis responded in your other thread about this issue. He has run the VENTs in his '73 for many miles withOUT a problem. He did cut out the original '73 louvers though....

WITHOUT a problem and I also removed the rain guards that cover the vents on the inside like the 74's

Some people have to ask everything twice. Crying or Very sad

I added the muff to my first '73 because I ran a lot of dirt roads and the engine was a filthy mess from all the dust being sucked in through the original louvers behind the rear wheel. The muffs really cleaned things up. I have acquired a set for use on my present '73 and will added them when I do the body work and paint. I never had any overheating after adding the muffs that I can remember.
