I bought another one. Nothing kick starts a project like buying another one! Right? Right?
Running, driving, super close to original bone stock, still 6 volt. |

That's purty. Something tells me this one's gonna get driven. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

A few things to tweak and I'll be in good shape...now if the Invasion was a different date, I'd be able to go!
Maybe in two years it'll be closer to me and I'll be able to go in an actual Type 3. |

Do you remember when Charlie and I were talking at the Classic and I found out that he got the car? |

Vaguely. But it's all beginning to come back into focus... |
I sold him a NOS hood trim seal (I got that back with the car) and later sold him a NOS ignition column (also in the car)...
He did a lot of work on the car-it's in pretty nice mechanical shape from what I can tell after 20 minutes of looking it over. |

We all know you're really into originality and details, so it found its way to the right person. Everyone loves restorations and builds but there's nothing like a VW that's still 95% the way the factory did it. And as a bonus you got your NOS parts back. |
Getting NOS parts back IS a bonus!
...and I'm still working away on the 65 N model too. |

That's cool you got it! I would hate to see it slammed on earlies or any other wheels. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.
I recycle old cars and parts, other than when I rot, that's as Green as I am going to get.
Thanks to my Tesla driving neighbors, I feel more relaxed driving my SUBURBAN and old VW's.

I tore down the entire rear assembly for replacement and fine tuning. After digging around, Sinclair was due for some lubrication love. _________________ 1970 Squareback |
