Just finished a roof rack for my son's Baja Bug.
I also built the front bumper and rear engine cage. I'll be posting in the classified section soon. |

Nice! I've been thinking about making one with the same style of mounts! Do you have any pictures closer up to where it's mounted on the body? Did you make the actual clamps or buy them? |

Sorry it took so long to reply. I was away for the weekend. I made my own clamps. They're like the ones jorge8amz posted.

I used 1.25" x .065 tubing. Just about 30lbs, I think.

here's the one i made, did the same idea on the mounting clips. I had to drill and tap a screw through my gutter rail though. i didn't put them at enough of an angle and they kept popping off.
