Hi,
Is it possible to paint the inside of the van with the loom, fuse box and steering column in place? Has anyone done this and did it come out OK? I plan on removing everything else including windows / headliner...
Cheers

I'd rather re & re a full wiring system than a headliner anyday, if you are up for punishment like that a piddly wiring haness is nothing. Besides it offers you the opportunity to put it all back correctly and evict any PO's. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

You can. Just wrap it in plastic and tape it all up. I would remove all the switches and bundle them up, too. But like Busdady says, probably a lot less hassle to remove the haness and fuse box and redo it right. |

I just did this and it came out ok, just have to tape everything off like everyone else said. But I didn't have the time or resources to take everything else off so I taped pretty much the whole bus off. I agree it would be fairly simple to take out compared to everything else. |

After the electric woes I've had with this bus i'd prefer not to touch the loom! I forgot to mention, the headliner was already removed... It's good to know some have masked the wires and the job came out OK... |
