Nice, your Bus just keeps getting better.

No on the random door panel trim but do you have trim rings for the wheels?

No on the trim rings. I do not think that I have ever noticed a set on a bus.

They are only on Deluxes (you probably know that) but they are out there.

They are date-stamped too, if you want to get that specific.
Your Bus is from May, 1963 so they would be probably be dated 0-3 months before that date. Maybe more as my July Bus had one from 2/63.

Here's a decent "matched" set in the classifieds right now

On my bus (10/62) which still has all its original rims and 3 original trim rings had 10/62 date stamps on the rims and rings. Guess the production was on time that month

more rusty parts out, this time courtesy of the front brakes. all these wheel cylinders and wheel bearings were two days old when the bus was flooded, master cylinder was already acting up before the storm moved in.

I'm pretty sure that one was an original for my 7/63 Bus but I do agree that large of a span is abnormal.

I decided to take off long spoon and replace with a short one. So I dug through my parts and came up a few short spoons this one polished out the best so I went with it. I loved having the long spoon there, but maybe I'll try this look for a while. I understand its more correct anyways.

Yeah, that is correct for a long spoon Bus.
But whatever you like... it always seemed weird to me to have a mismatch from the factory like that, even though the reason of the latch hitting the pillar on most Buses is a good one.

Thanks Everett. Now this makes me want to polish the rest of the spoons.

Replaced a bad generator, replaced all of the fuel lines and filter sock in the fuel tank, spark plug wires, and battery cables. Not in just one day but over the course of the last week, still have to install a start switch that Gabe rebuilt so I have just one key for my bus. Very Happy

The Original Bentley manual supplied to Dealers had color diagrams. I'm pretty sure that the scans on this site also have color wiring diagrams at least. Check the Technical section above for your year bus in the "wiring" topic.

in the past week or so, I ordered new wheel cylinders, had the OG master cylinder rebuilt, cleaned up all the front brake parts up, had the drums cut, por15d everything up front, packed new bearings and installed all new brakes.

Next step is Transmission, motor, hopefully not a complete wire harness, but electrical for sure. and interior once is road worthy.
